Commercial Air Conditioning
Before we install your air conditioning, we carefully evaluate your business needs. Many businesses have rooms or spaces for specific purposes. Spaces close to large windowed entrances have higher cooling needs than back offices. Kitchens in restaurants usually need separate cooling and ventilations systems. After evaluation we design cooling systems for efficiency and quality.
We install all air conditioning brands. But we prefer brands ranked highest in both reliability and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail is a Doc J company value. Our experienced Oklahoma HVAC contractor personally does installations or directly supervises our installation teams.
The best sized A/C system may not always be an exact replacement of your existing unit. Overtime most businesses evolve and modify products or sales lines. The purpose of rooms and floors may change. Many businesses have remodeled since the original equipment placement. Remodels with upgraded windows, doors, added ceiling and wall insulation decrease cooling needs. The first impulse is to automatically increase A/C capacity in warm rooms. The problem could be humidity, not capacity. Tulsa can be very humid in the spring and summer. Very humid rooms feel warmer and less comfortable than low humidity room. Installing an inline humidifier may solve the warm room problem. Businesses with many specialized rooms often benefit from well-designed variable, staged systems. Systematic evaluation is very important.
We always evaluate your business’ duct system for leaks, proper air flow and air return. Leaky ducts lose cold air and cause your air conditioner to cycle too frequently. Sealed ducts keep in more cold air and balances air flows. Warm areas may need extra or a revised duct system.
We incorporate your preferences with the best equipment. You know best your business needs. We know best equipment that optimizes performance, energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Central air conditioning, and/or split ductless systems, variable speed or multi-stage equipment, our team can handle all types of installations.
Commercial Heating
Before we install your furnace, we carefully evaluate your business needs. After doing this we design heating systems for efficiency and quality. The best sized furnace may not always be an exact replacement of your existing unit. For example, many businesses have remodeled since the original furnace placement. Installing the right size furnace improves comfort and efficiency. Larger furnaces cycle less often, so less wear and tear on the equipment but are more costly. Ones that are too small cycle frequently, which causes your equipment to prematurely age and wear out. If your heating needs are between two capacities, we recommend the larger furnace. So, your business will be comfortable during Tulsa’s coldest conditions.
We always evaluate your businesses duct system for leaks, proper air flow and air return. Leaky ducts lose heat and cause your furnace to cycle too frequently. Sealed ducts keep in more heat and balance air flows. Cold areas may need extra or a revised duct system.
Typically, furnaces last 5, 10 or even 15 years longer than air conditioning systems. My parent’s Zink furnace lasted over 30 years. If your furnace is more than 15 years old, we may recommend replacing your furnace. Paring an older furnace with a new high efficiency air conditioner decreases efficiency. Purchasing complete systems cost less than buying separate components.
Furnaces can come with a variety of features. All contemporary furnaces have intermittent, direct spark or hot-surface ignition features. Gone are the days of constant pilot lights. Soon variable speed blowers will be standard on most furnaces. Variable speed motors ramp up or down to regulate the furnace motor. Variable speed motors are quieter than single stage ones. Running at lower speeds is less stress on the motor. Some higher efficiency models included variable heat features. This feature produces few drafts and temperature swings. Large homes or those with specialty rooms may benefit from zoned heating. Zoned heating may involve separate systems, baffling, or combinations. Our contractor discusses your various options and helps you get the right equipment.
