Air Conditioning

Our team can handle all types of installations. We can install all brands, but prefer those brands ranked highest in customer satisfaction by customers.

Consumer Reports names American Standard, Bryant, Carrier, Lennox, Trane and Rheem as some of the strongest brands. Our Oklahoma HVAC contractor personally installs your system or closely supervises our installation team. Attention to detail is one of our company values

The best size air conditioner may not always be an exact replacement of your existing unit. Updated windows and doors, and new attic insulation change your home’s needs. Removing all the big shade trees in the yard for the new deck can increase your home’s air conditioning needs. Having too big a system means the A/C system may not cycle enough to decrease the humidity in your home. A system that is too small will cycle frequently which causes your equipment to prematurely age and wear out. Additionally, we test your home’s duct system for leaks and proper air flow and air return. Properly sealed ductwork balances air flows which improves comfort and efficiency.

We listen to your preferences. Some clients want 68 degrees in all rooms and others prefer 75 degrees. Our specialty is matching your preferences with the best equipment. Best equipment means performance, efficiency and clean indoor air quality.

Heating

We install all furnace brands. But we prefer brands ranked highest in both reliability and customer satisfaction. Doc J’s values attention to detail. Our experienced Oklahoma HVAC contractor either does installations or supervises our installation teams.

The best sized furnace may not always be an exact replacement of your existing unit. For example, many homes have been remodeled since the placement of the existing unit. Remodels with updated windows, doors, added ceiling and wall insulation decrease heating needs. Having the right sized furnace improves efficiency and is the best cost value. Furnaces that are too small cycle frequently to generate enough heat. This causes more wear and tear on the furnace. Overuse shorten the furnaces lifespans. The bigger the furnace the more the cost. If your equipment needs are between two capacities, we recommend the larger capacity furnace. Your home will be more comfortable during Tulsa’s coldest weather periods.

We always evaluate your home’s duct system for leaks and proper air flow and air return. Leaky ducts lose heat and cause your furnace to cycle too often. Properly sealed ductwork keeps in more heat and balance air flows. If you have the right sized furnace but still have cold spots you may need extra or a revised duct system.

Typically furnaces last 5, 10 or even 15 years longer than air conditioning systems. My parent’s Zink furnace lasted over 30 years. If your furnace is more than 15 years old, we may recommend replacing your furnace. Pairing an older furnace with a new high efficiency air conditioning can decrease efficiency.  You may save money in the long term by buying complete rather than partial systems.

Repair Central Gas Heater

Furnaces can come with a variety of features. All contemporary furnaces have intermittent, direct spark or hot-surface ignition features. Gone are the days of constant pilot lights. Soon variable speed blowers will be standard on most furnaces. Variable speed motors ramp up or down to regulate the furnace motor. Variable speed motors are quieter than single stage ones. Running at lower speeds is less stress on the motor. Some higher efficiency models included variable heat features. This feature produces few drafts and temperature swings. Large homes or those with specialty rooms may benefit from zoned heating. Zoned heating may involve separate systems, baffling, or combinations. Our contractor discusses your various options and helps you get the right equipment.
